How do we measure the results of our training courses?
We utilize proven methods of training and evaluation in all our courses. For skill courses, we use the principles of Practice-Production-Feedback. This student-centered method of learning is recommended by top education institutions around the world. For language skill evaluation, we utilize reputable level checks such as the F.S.I. used by the US government to check the language proficiency of their staff. Finally, progress and evaluation reports are regularly sent to the participants and clients.
What happens in the first consultation?
The first consultation can be conducted online or in person. It is a two-way discussion and with no sales involved, so please do not worry about being pressured to buy. We prefer an open and comfortable atmosphere that best allows us to learn about your specific situation and goals, as well as answer any questions you may have about our services. We only employ trainers who have many years’ experience in both business and training. They must also have extensive experience with Japan and the Japanese business culture. Most of them have lived and worked in Japan for well over ten years and come highly recommended from other organizations before we recruit them. Put simply, they are of the highest tier possible.
What is an example of Forum’s customized and personal service?
We receive a wide variety of requests from many industries, so we have to be prepared for anything. One example is when a client, a large fishing corporation, were sending Japanese supervisors to oversee fishing boats fully staffed by Russian speaking crew. In this case, with the help of a Russian linguistics professor, we created a “Russian Fisherman’s Vocabulary & Phrases Booklet” and supporting curriculum. It was an interesting program to say the least, but everything went well. In the end, the practical results were excellent and of great value to the Japanese supervisors while on the boats.
What happens if a problem occurs?
We respect our clients and tell them honestly that while we try to foresee and counter problems, they do occasionally occur. However, when they do crop up, we can assure you that our response will be swift with open and clear communication. Then, once the situation has be rectified, we will do all that is possible to prevent the problem from reoccuring in the future.
